Soil boring and testing the properties of soil layers to study the arrangement of soil layers and groundwater levels. Recommend the type of foundation and provide basic design recommendations. The project site is located 8.5 kilometers away from the seashore. The elevation of the land surface ranges from 37.27 to 37.49 meters above sea level, and the groundwater level is between 1.8 to 4.3 meters below the surface. The details of the job are as follows:

Geotechnical In Situ Tests
  • Soil investigation drilling on the ground surface, with depths ranging from 19.02 to 25.45 meters. A total of 12 boreholes.
  • Test pits measuring 1x1x1 meter for chemical and basic soil property testing, including CBR and compaction tests. A total of 6 test pits.
  • Field density tests at depths of 0.5 and 1 meter. A total of 6 test locations.
  • Installation of 2 observation wells with a depth of 10 meters.
  • Cone penetration tests (CPT) at a depth of 9.70 meters. A total of 6 test locations.
  • Soil resistivity tests at a depth of 12 meters. A total of 6 measurement points.
laboratory testing tasks:
  • Specific Gravity tests on hard soil layers. A total of 67 samples.
  • UU triaxial tests on medium to coarse reddish-brown silty soil (granitic soil). A total of 12 samples.
  • CU triaxial tests on fine to coarse sand, fine to coarse clay, and medium to coarse sand. A total of 12 samples.
  • Consolidation tests on clay soil. A total of 24 samples.
  • Direct shear tests on medium to dense sand. A total of 24 samples.
  • Modified Compaction Test on reddish-brown sandy soil at depths of 0.5 and 1 meter.
  • CBR (California Bearing Ratio) tests on reddish-brown sandy soil at depths of 0.5 and 1 meter.
  • Chemical properties of soil and water: Sampling from on-land soil boreholes and water, a total of 6 samples each, and sampling from test pits, a total of 12 samples.
  • Thermal conductivity: Selecting undisturbed soil samples for a total of 6 samples.
